Wasn’t February a mix of weather?! Bitter cold, warm + melting, blizzards + blowing! I’m happy to see the new month. While March is historically unpredictable, it does bring the 1st day of Spring and moves us one step closer to seeing flowers and grass again. As I look at the deep snow, I think what a miracle anything can survive underneath it all. Will the squirrels have eaten all my bulbs or did the chicken wire save a few to bloom? Time will tell.
As we move closer to warmer weather, we are planning for a number of Can Sorts. Kris has been collecting your contribution of cans + bottles from the landfills all winter and he has made quite a pile for us!
We will send out a notice once the snow is gone and we can work outside comfortably. If you’d like to be informed on Sorts or other events, send you name and contact information to nfraevents@gmail.com. We’ll let you know what’s happening and how you can get involved!
On February 23rd NFRA held it Annual General Meeting. The new Board of Directors and Executive members will be reported shortly.
Our long-serving Secretary, Karen D. stepped down to pursue other volunteer opportunities. Gladly she will still be a NFRA member and continue her significant contributions to our events. Thank you for your service Karen.
