Oh my goodness! How fast this summer has gone by! Now with the heatwaves and rainstorms just memories, we are in the beautiful month of September. We are indeed fortunate to live is such a varied and wild environment. From deer on the lawn to Northern Lights at night, we can always find something to instill awe if we look for it. And I hope you do look, lets keep our spirits up and our sense of wonder alive. No matter what corner of Neebing you live in, know that many would consider it a paradise. Let’s appreciate what we have 😊

I hope we saw you at the Little Trout Bay Fish Derby – 2025!

The Municipality of Neebing and the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority hosted the Derby on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at the Little Trout Bay Conservation Area.

NFRA held a charity BBQ in the afternoon to feed the hungry boaters after the fish weigh-in. Yum.

Special thanks to Dale and Mark of NES for assisting us with the transport of our big barbeque. We couldn’t do this without you!

NFRA Can Sorts are going well. Kris keeps us very busy with his collecting at both landfills.

The Sort we just had brought out over 12 hardy volunteers and I was so impressed by the volume we sorted! The coordinated industriousness was like a well-oiled machine, just humming along. We began at 9am (although a good number of you arrived earlier) and finished the big pile in only 1 1/2 hours! We certainly don’t dilly-dally. Thank you all!!

NFRA has a new Storefront. It was developed to help NES outfit it’s new Decontamination Bay being built beside the Municipal Office. It’s a place where you can ‘shop’ for items needed for NES, then the ‘price’, which is a donation from you, goes to purchase the needed items. From small items to big, there is something for all budgets.

You simply place an item in your basket, and check out. Before completing check out you will be asked to register on the site, this is a one-time thing, so we can keep your information secure.

After check out you will receive a charity tax receipt for totals of $20 or more.

No product will ship, purchases are donations to NFRA to fund the items needed.

It’s a new and easy way to give back to our community. You can be part of this new, much-needed build by ‘shopping’ for Neebing Emergency Services!
